Jad Seifeddine

Solutions architect, team lead and senior systems engineer.

I design, build and run the infrastructure that mission-critical systems depend on, from Linux and data centre estates and carrier-grade networks to Kubernetes and AI platforms. I lead the teams behind it, work directly with customers, and explain complex problems in plain language, especially when the pressure is on. 20+ years hands-on, based in Sydney.

What I do

Infrastructure, end to end

From the rack to the model server: the layers I design, build, automate and lead teams on.

All expertise

Security & compliance

The fundamentals that stop real attacks, with compliance as the evidence rather than the goal.

AI & LLM infrastructure

GPU nodes, model serving, RAG and MCP integrations, run with real guardrails and observability.

Beyond the technology

Leadership and clear communication

The systems I build are critical to someone's business. Leading the team, partnering with the customer and explaining what is happening, clearly and calmly, are part of the job.

How I lead

Leading teams

Hands-on team lead: I set the standard by doing the work, then grow the people around me until they no longer need me.

Partnering with customers

I start with what the business needs and what failure would cost, then design, deliver and hand over in the customer's language.

Making the complex simple

Executives, customers and engineers get the same truth, framed for what each of them has to decide.

Calm under pressure

In an incident I bring structure: impact first, regular updates, one source of truth and decisions written down.

A relentless drive to automate, streamline and constantly improve and learn.

How I work

Principles, not slogans

More about me
01

Automate the second time

If a task has to be done twice, it gets scripted, versioned and reviewed. Across my career that habit has saved thousands of manual hours and removed whole classes of human error.

02

Measure before you change

Observability comes first: metrics, logs and alerts that tell you what is actually happening, so decisions about scale, cost and reliability are made on evidence rather than instinct.

03

Design for failure

Production fails in interesting ways. I build for redundancy, fast recovery and changes that can be rolled back, then write the runbook while the reasoning is still fresh.

04

Lead from the keyboard

I lead by doing the work alongside the team: pairing, reviewing, documenting and mentoring, so good practice spreads and outlasts any single engagement.

05

Make the complex simple

If the people who have to decide cannot follow the explanation, the explanation has failed. I lead with impact, use plain words and adjust the depth to who is listening.

06

Calm, clear and early

When the stakes are high, I communicate before I am asked: what is affected, what we know, what we are doing and when the next update will come. Then I keep that promise.
