Prometheus metrics for FortiGate firewalls, with VLAN-aware interface metrics.
Overview
The Prometheus community FortiGate exporter turns FortiGate firewall APIs into Prometheus metrics. Jad contributed a vlanid label for interface metrics, merged upstream in April 2026, so VLAN interfaces can be graphed and alerted on by VLAN rather than by interface name alone.
Highlights
- Added the vlanid label to system interface metrics (pull request #279, merged)
- Also published check_fortigate, a Go implementation of the check_fortigate Nagios and Icinga plugin
