Cloud & infrastructure as code

Cloud and infrastructure as code

AWS and Azure environments defined in Terraform and Ansible, and migrations planned around cost, resilience and the systems that cannot go down.

What I do

  • Cloud migration strategy and execution across AWS and Azure
  • Terraform infrastructure as code, modules and state management
  • Configuration management with Ansible
  • AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3 and CloudWatch
  • Secrets management with HashiCorp Vault
  • Hybrid designs that keep latency-sensitive workloads on-premises or in colocation

How I approach it

Not everything belongs in the cloud. A migration plan weighs cost, latency, data residency and operational skills, and moves workloads in an order that keeps the business running.

Environments are created by code and reviewed like code, so staging matches production and a region can be rebuilt from a repository.
