A relentless drive to automate, streamline and constantly improve and learn underpins two decades of building and scaling mission-critical infrastructure, grounded in hands-on data centre and Linux engineering: racking and running colo footprints across multiple data centres, including NEXTDC and Global Switch, and building, hardening and automating fleets of bare-metal and virtualised Linux servers.     Senior DevOps / SRE Engineer (Contract) · Remote, Worldwide

    • Deliver DevOps, SRE and platform-engineering engagements for Mercor's AI and high-growth tech clients, running live production where reliability, scale and cost are critical.
    • Design Kubernetes-based AI infrastructure on hardened Linux GPU nodes with Terraform, Ansible and AWS: kernel, driver and container-runtime tuning, GitOps pipelines, GPU-aware placement and autoscaling for inference and batch workloads.
    • Build production LLM and agent platforms using RAG, vector databases, vLLM / Ollama and MCP integrations, with model-serving controls, runbooks and deployment guardrails.
    • Develop platform automation, self-service tooling and SRE practice in Go, Python and Bash with Prometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetry, standardising releases and improving incident response and reliability.
